The old intranet in Germany, called „SARIAnet“ was shut down in April 2023. Among other things, this was for technical and safety reasons. From that point on no documents or other content could be updated. However, to ensure that employees throughout the SARIA Group continue to have a communication platform, this new intranet has been introduced.
Connect is a tool for all SARIA Group employees. Main advantages of the new intranet is that it’s accessible for all employees (even if they don’t have access to the computer). It is also a tool which is much more interactive – all countries are connected (you will find colleagues from all business unit in our three countries) and you can send information, share the news, comments and like news, etc – it is a social intranet.
The motto is: Knowledge for all, by all!
The term “intranet” is generally known. It describes an internal company computer network that is not publicly accessible.
With a “social intranet”, the focus is on the social aspect and collaborative digital cooperation. Here, every employee can actively participate.
MySaria remains until all countries and divisions will be a part of Connect. For now, on MySaria you will have a direct button to Connect, where you can enjoy the closeness of all your colleagues from three countries and O2P division, share documents and comment news. Still in MySaria will remain the workflows (and links to others also external programs – like HR).
No. As the intranet can quickly become misused, not every employee can write their own post. Please contact the editor from your department, plant or business unit. However, the role of the standard user can currently mark posts with “Like” and comment on posts. However, if this is abused, the project team intends to discontinue this function until further notice.
If you want to be an editor, please contact your manager and the projectteam at firstname.lastname@example.org. They will provide training and information. There can be as many editors as you wish for one plant/department.
Each department, each plant and each business unit has its own page in Connect. This can be accessed either via the search function on the start page or by selecting “Pages” in the menu navigation.
The active directories in the background are used to automatically regulate which pages are visible and mandatory for each individual.
Yes, each page can be designed individually by the editor.
An editor of a page is responsible for the content. They should inform all other employees with regular posts. As this is a social intranet, it depends on the posts and interactions of employees.
In future, the intranet will be available to the entire SARIA Group across borders. You will receive information from colleagues from all over the world and can communicate directly with them.
In future, every employee will have access to the intranet.
Employees without a desktop workplace will also have access via the app.

You can change the language in your own settings. Also this tool has an automatic translation for posts, so you can enjoy reading news from all countries in your own language.
