SARIA improves EcoVadis score and maintains Gold Medal for the third consecutive year

SARIA has once again been awarded the EcoVadis Gold Medal in this year’s sustainability rating. This marks the third consecutive year in which SARIA has achieved Gold status. With an overall score of 85 points, SARIA improved its result compared to the previous year.
Since first taking part in the EcoVadis rating in 2016, we have continuously strengthened our sustainability management, processes, and reporting structures.
One area that stands out in this year’s result is Sustainable Procurement, which is SARIA’s strongest category. For us, this means looking beyond the best price and placing a clear focus on sustainability. For example, relevant suppliers are required to commit to SARIA’s Supplier Code of Conduct and are evaluated based on specific criteria. Additionnaly, we have also established measurable goals to support continuous monitoring and improvement within our own organisation.

What does the EcoVadis rating assess?
EcoVadis evaluates companies across four key sustainability areas: Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement. The assessment is based on documented policies, implemented actions, and measurable results. It is also aligned with international sustainability standards such as the Global Reporting Initiative, the UN Global Compact, and ISO 26000.
As the evaluation is tailored to a company’s industry, size, and geographic footprint, the EcoVadis rating provides a detailed and objective view of overall sustainability performance. SARIA’s renewed Gold Medal and improved score underline the positive development of sustainability across the Group and confirm the company’s ongoing commitment to responsible and sustainable business practice
