SARIA to acquire minority stake in leading Chilean fish by-product processor Fiordo Austral

SARIA has entered into definitive agreements to acquire a 36.45% stake in the Chilean company Fiordo Austral. The transaction marks an important step in the international expansion of SARIA’s marine and fish activities and strengthens the Group’s footprint in the global marine ingredients market, while also supporting Fiordo Austral’s next stage of growth.
Founded in 1995, Fiordo Austral is owned by several Chilean families and is one of the leading partners of the Chilean aquaculture industry. The company holds a leading position in the marine and salmon by-product industry in Chile. With around 800 employees and six production sites, it specializes in the processing and valorization of salmon by-products and offers a broad range of products and services for the aquaculture sector, developing high-value ingredients and specialized solutions for aquaculture, animal nutrition and related industries.
Building a stronger platform for the global aquaculture industry
The partnership connects Fiordo Austral’s strong operational presence and market expertise in Latin America, along with an established global sales network, with SARIA’s technical know-how and proven commercial reach in Europe through its Bioceval business unit. Customers of both companies will benefit from expanded capabilities across the marine ingredients value chain, accelerated product development, broader market access and increasingly specialized and sustainable solutions.
By combining the strengths of both companies, the partnership aims to support reliable supply chains, high-quality standards, and continued innovation for customers and partners worldwide.

The transaction remains subject to the required regulatory and antitrust approvals.
